  • Overview

Tank House for Coral Chemical, a division of Quaker Houghton, is a new ground-up structure replacing an existing reusable tote house. Featuring 24 tanks set in rooms with raised concrete walls to prevent spillage, this facility will streamline the delivery and loading process of acids and bases. The Tank House also features overhead pipelines that feed into the main facility and offer Coral the ability to move material as required without adding extra storage. The Tank House is designed to allow tanker trucks to pull into one of two bays, load/offload from a custom designed catwalk structure, and pull out the other side of the facility.

The project is located in Zion, IL and built on Coral’s existing property. Construction of the facility occurred immediately after remodeling the interior of the main facility. The Tank Farm expands Coral’s already impress capabilities and is another reason why it is a jewel in Quaker Houghton’s crown.
